Today’s trip is a jolly Teutonic foray back to the 1930s, where apparently all the gents would stand on the street corners lustily singing such rousing tunes as “Tschingta Tschingta Bummtara” (the sound of hobnail boots on cobblestones), “Ruck-zuck!” (the sound of shattering crystal) and “Ich Geh auf Große Fahrt, Marie” (imagine your own sound effect for Marie, you shouldn’t have too much trouble). Manly good times! Jawoll!

And should you get all misty-eyed over this fine album on the Fiesta label (I guess “fiesta” is at least from the same continent), there is a second Fiesta record you could look for called “Vorwärts! Marsch!” The album cover depicts a giant eagle looking particularly predatory sitting atop a map of the world. Very inspirational indeed!
In fact it’s inspiring me to look into relocating to the Sudetenland where I think I’d be welcomed with open arms.

Careful about relocating. If you're a fan of Monty Python, you'd know about that crazy English politician, Mr. Hilter who wants to annex the Sudatenland. Probably follow that up by invading Poland and Romania. . .
