Sexcessfully Yours

Party records. Lameass juvenile gobsmackingly unfunny party records. LOVE this crap!!!!

There is no indication of the "talent" represented on this album oh so naughtily titled "Sexcessfully Yours" (whatever the hell THAT might mean). I can't blame the performers for not wanting to take credit for this mess. It's supposed to be baggy pants burlesque comedy, but the weird thing is that this record reminded me of the low budget kids records I listened to incessantly at naptime--Tubby the Tuba, Rusty in Orchestraville.....with the one or two guys doing all the voices, but even as a 5 year old I wasn't fooled. Maybe all of those albums were recorded by the same people.

Just discovered your blog and I'm knocked out - great cross section of long forgotten treasures - many thanks!

Can't get enough of these so called "party records." Did they actually play these at bachelor parties or were they just around for the semi-lewd cover art? The latter me thinks.

Would like to add a link to you. feel free to link back - or not - if you'd rather not be bothered, either way thanks again.

Oh, and I'm downloading precisely because your "goofy preamble" made me chuckle.

LoungeTracks, I am seriously thinking about looking to purchase a LOT more party records in the future. The last record convention I went to, there were several dealers who had tons of stuff and I had to make some tough decisions abut what came home with me. Next time I am collecting their business cards and buying as much as I can over time. I suspect they were slipped into record collections for the bachelor pad ambiance and seldom actually played.
